The Pumping 360

"Around the World" – that’s another name for the Pumping 360 in wing foiling. You make a full circle downwind with the wing flagged; propulsion is generated by the pumping motion of the foil.

To make it work: enter at high speed, take a tight turn and then start pumping in time to stay on the foil.

The key moment is when you lift the wing again. This is when the system tends to get unstable. It’s better to pump the foil one more time to maintain speed, then lift the wing and immediately build up forward momentum by pulling on the wing.
