Backwind Jibe

Switch stance jibe with the wing held back

The backwind jibe is initiated on a run while foiling in switch stance (toeside). The wing is lifted over your head to windward; both hands briefly press the wing against the wind as you ride the board downwind through the turn.

In this video, you'll see the quick version of the backwind jibe, where you keep the wing on the windward side for as short a time as possible.
