HOVERAir AQUA
Waterproof Automatic Camera Drone
The Chinese company Zero Zero Robotics is launching the HOVERAir AQUA, an automatic camera drone weighing just 249 grams, designed to capture stunning action videos during water sports entirely on its own. The drone, which can float and launch from the water, is said to be capable of operating in wind speeds of up to 33 knots.
The drone's design calls for the person being filmed to wear a tracking device on their body, so the drone knows who to follow. The camera then films the action fully automatically in 4K at up to 100 frames per second. The maximum flight time is reportedly 23 minutes. Alternatively, the drone can also be controlled via remote control.
The promotional video for the HOVERAir AQUA demonstrates how to use it. The drone is currently available only through Indiegogo and has not yet been added to the HOVERAir.com store. We do not know how reliable the product is. However, HOVERAir is an official partner of the International Ski and Snowboard Association (FIS) with another camera drone.
