Vayu EOS V3
Extensive design update
"Less Span - more Thrills" - under this motto, Vayu presents the V3 version of the EOS Wing. Wing designer Bill Hansen has extensively modified the EOS freeride and freestyle wing. The leading edge has been segmented differently (longer individual elements) and, as with the Aura, there is now an Aluula reinforcement in the centre (the anthracite section).
Overall, this is intended to increase the airframe’s stiffness, resulting in a more direct feel and greater control across the entire (now wider) wind range. The short wingspan (e.g. 3.25 m on the 5.0 model) makes the wing more compact, which generally improves handling and, above all, aids freestyle manoeuvres. The EOS V3 is therefore also perfectly suited to riders of smaller stature.
The canopy has been redesigned (e.g. with radial wingtip panels) to accommodate the stresses caused by wind pressure. The shape of the Z-strut now allows for more clearance when accessing the wing. The wing is fitted with windows and a removable carbon click-boom.
Eight sizes ranging from 2.5 to 6.0 m2 in 0.5-metre increments are currently available in the colour combinations grey/pink and grey/Yellow. Includes a click-boom that fits all sizes, a hand leash and a repair kit. Prices range from €1,029 to €1,199, depending on the wing size.
