Special characteristics
There are different ways to jump a frontside 360 when winging. Depending on the execution, it is called a frontside 360, backloop or pushloop. Here we are talking about the pushloop.
The pushloop is the most radical type of execution, as the rotation of the wing takes place from a twisted, almost horizontal body position. You try to jump as high as possible into the wind and raise your legs and hips upwards.
From an almost horizontal supine position in the air, the wing is then pulled over the body and steeres with the leading edge steeply downwards. The front hand pulls, the back hand pushes.
During a steep descent, the wing can be briefly exposed to the airflow from the rear. It is important to complete the wing rotation so that you don’t land with your body, board or foil on the wing.
