The best is saved for last. After another extremely windy day, only the semifinal and final heats of the Wingfoil World Cup in Gran Canaria remain. But the organizers are saving those decisive races for Saturday, the final day of the event in El Burrero on the east coast of the Canary Island.
On the men’s side, Luca Vuillermet, Franz Schlittenbauer, Axel Gerard, Chris Macdonald, Benjamin Castenskiold, Tomas Acherer, Rocco Makana and Charlie Loch will compete for the title; on the women’s side, Zara Maillard, Bowien van der Linden, Lilly Holzer, Viola Lippitsch, Zoe Marie Schonwetter, Sofia Ginzinger, Manon Dupé and, of course, Nia Suardiaz are still in the running.
