Control and steer your flight
Balance is the key
A beginner's tutorial from Duotone. It shows how to control the foil ride after take-off. Foiling is done straight ahead on a crosswind course (90 degrees to the wind).
The height of the foil flight is controlled by shifting weight on the feet: Shifting weight over the back foot causes the board to rise, shifting weight over the front foot causes the board to sink.
Tip for practicing foil control:
A flatwater without waves is ideal. Practice touch-down's an take-off's in a row. This will quickly give you a feel for how the foil reacts to changes in load.
