Toeside Jibe

The jibe in switch stance riding position

This video shows you how to perform a toeside jibe. You can watch the hand movements in slow motion – for both directions of travel.

Whether you call the jibe that is initiated with a switched foot position a 'toeside' jibe or a 'switch stance' jibe is up to you.

These two terms originate from different sports, but mean the same thing. In a normal jibe, you turn with your heels pointing towards the wind (heelside), while a switch stance jibe is initiated with your toes pointing towards the wind (toeside).
