GWA World Cup in Dakhla canceled

The only tour stop in the wave discipline has been canceled

At the moment, it appears that there will be no world championship titles in the 'wave' discipline of wing foiling in 2026. The GWA announced on Saturday that the event scheduled for October 6–11, 2026, in Dakhla, Morocco, cannot take place at short notice. Quote: “The cancellation is the result of circumstances beyond anyone's control.”

The press release further states: “Everyone involved worked hard to bring the event together, and the decision was not taken lightly. The GWA understands how disappointing this news is for the athletes, partners, and fans who were preparing for the season finale. The GWA is now working closely with athletes, partners, and stakeholders on the next steps."
