Foil Festival and Surf Festival Merge

Joint event on Ascension Day weekend on Fehmarn: May 6–9, 2027

We had already announced this merger to you: Starting next year, the Foil Festival and the Surf Festival will take place on the same dates. From May 6 to 9, 2027, the venue will continue to be Südstrand on Fehmarn, Germany.

However, the venue will move just under 500 meters further west, to the section of the beach directly in front of the pier at the entrance to Burger Binnensee (the westernmost pier on Südstrand).

The merger is intended to make things easier for exhibitors and visitors in terms of logistics and timing. Ideally, the entire range of foil and windsurfing equipment from the participating brands will be on display in this now significantly larger area, and visitors will be able to test it all together free of charge during the event.

There will be expanded testing areas for all foil disciplines (including wing foiling, wind foiling, pump foiling, e-foiling, and SUP foiling). The onshore playground (skateboarding / electric-powered single- and two-wheeled vehicles) will also be expanded.
