Wingfoil Tricktionary 1
A 352-page book on wing foiling techniques
This book has been in the works for several years, and now “Wingfoil Tricktionary 1” is finally complete and will hit stores one day before Christmas. The 352-page book is available in German and English.
Like the previously published Tricktionaries on windsurfing, kitesurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding, this first wing foil edition is a guidebook that provides comprehensive information on wing foiling. Wingfoil Tricktionary 1 focuses on the basics and freeride techniques.
Tricktionary creator Michael Rossmeier on his work: "In terms of content, it covers the entire spectrum - from the absolute basics, through first flights, foil control, jibes, tacks, small-board starts, pumping, and freeriding, all the way to techniques for light and strong winds. There’s also a separate section for kids and youth, which is specifically aimed at families, schools, and coaches."
This comprehensive book is well-organized, features clear illustrations, and provides step-by-step instructions for the riding techniques covered.
Riders are guided from the very beginning through their first rides on the foil and basic riding techniques. The course covers topics such as safety and preparation, equipment, first flights, foil control, starts and techniques with small boards, pumping, carving, jibing, tacking, and advanced freeride techniques. Another focus is on riding in light and strong winds.
With a dedicated section for children and teens, the Wingfoil Tricktionary 1 is also a useful resource for families, schools, and coaches.
Just as with windsurfing (a total of 3 “Trickionaries”), further editions are planned for wing foiling as well, which will then also focus on freestyle and wave riding.
This comprehensive collection for beginners is available as a hardcover book for €49.90 at specialty retailers or on Amazon* (ISBN: 978-3903038172).
