Tack - one-handed
Perform a tack completely with one hand
When wing foiling, you can also perform a tack completely one-handed. To do this, the hand on the inside of the turn, which guides the wing to windward during the turn, must briefly change grip. The wing then hovers in the air for a brief moment (only a fraction of a second) without guidance.
When changing grip, turn your hand from the underhand to the overhand grip and position it further back on the boom - exactly where the wing's center of pressure is located.
This allows you to balance the wing in your hand and pump with the board if necessary to maintain speed.
