Starboard VIVA - 2nd Gen
Preview/Preorder of the 2027 Model
Starboard introduces the new version of the VIVA Wing. Developed in collaboration with Xavi Corr, the wing has been further refined and is now designed to offer more speed, lift and control, while reducing pressure on the back hand.
Another new feature is the mounting system for the pistol grip boom, which can now be quickly changed when the air has been released. The Tool-Free Anchor Boom is attached using Dyneema loops and, thanks to the air pressure generated when the strut is inflated, presses itself firmly against the strut.
The wing will be released in two versions: H2 REFLEX and CARBON FRAME.
In the more affordable CARBON FRAME version (2.5 to 7.0 m2 in 0.5 increments, colors: red and blue, price without boom: 1,069 to 1,499 euros), carbon strips embedded in the leading edge and struts reinforce the 160 Dacron airframe.
On the H2 REFLEX, the airframe is made of triaxially woven Ultra-PE, which offers greater stiffness and more reflex. The wing is lighter and the number of windows has been reduced to two (sizes: 3.0 to 7.0 m2 in 0.5 increments, color: burgundy/white, price without boom: 1,479 to 1,899 euros).
The matching Tool-Free Anchor Boom (Pistol Grip: short or long) is available in prepreg UD carbon for 189/199 euros and in the aluminum version for 109/119 euros.
Both wings are now available for pre-order and are expected to be available starting in December. You can find a PDF with all the details and a link to pre-order on the Starboard website. We’ve linked the accompanying video here, along with a clip featuring Starboard’s 2027 foilboard lineup.
