From June 22 to 26, the Formula Wing World Championships for Masters (35+) and Juniors (U18) were held at Lake Silvaplana in Switzerland.

Italy's Ernesto De Amicis led from the start and, with victories in nearly all the races, ultimately claimed the title of Junior World Champion in the Formula Wing discipline.

Kosta Gladiadis of New Zealand and Michele Capitani of Italy rounded out the podium in a field of 61 competitors.

Among the 14 women competing, France's Vaina Picot won every one of her races and was thus crowned Formula Wing Youth World Champion without any challenge. China's Yana Li took silver, and Anna Hélies of France took bronze.
