New board line from Naish
Naish Nimbus & Nimbus Custom
Naish is phasing out the Hover Ascend board line and introducing its successors. Nimbus and Nimbus Custom are the names of the new boards, which are available in a total of five sizes. The Nimbus Custom, weighing 4.44 kg with a volume of 50 liters (4'6"), is the smallest board in the range; four additional Nimbus boards are available in 60, 70, 85 and 100 liters (weighing from 4.76 to 6.16 kg).
The shapes are effective: an elongated outline with parallel rails for takeoff speed, a square tail with a sharp rails for easy lift-off from the water’s surface, a wide and rounded nose with plenty of volume for stability during landings and a wide and recessed deck for greater board control.
The rails are sharp all the way around to prevent water from being sucked up around the rails during touchdowns. The four larger sizes feature a carrying handle integrated under the board, while the 50-liter model does not. The Nimbus Custom is also shaped more radically with more rocker and is manufactured using an upgraded PVC carbon construction.
The Nimbus boards in the 60- to 100-liter range cost between 1,399 and 1,579 euros, while the small Nimbus Custom is priced at 1,649 euros.
