California Wingfoil Masters Sylt 2026
There were no further races over the weekend; the German championship titles in the disciplines wave and slalom were awarded
Westerland, August 9, 2026 - With no further races held on Saturday or Sunday, the Wingfoil Masters on Sylt concluded early Sunday afternoon with the awards ceremony. All rankings from the first four days of the event (see our daily reports) remain unchanged.
German championship titles were awarded in the wave and slalom disciplines, while trophies were presented for the event standings in freestyle.
Klaas Voget is both the new and reigning German champion in the wave event. Hubert Christahl won the U17 title; he reached the final twice alongside Klaas but lost both times. Benedikt Hiss is the U19 champion, and Theo Buchwald claimed the U15 title.
In the slalom, Benedikt Hiss won the German championship title. The titles in the U17 and U15 divisions went to Wilhelm Christahl and Jonte Boysen.
Since the German Freestyle Championships had already been held on Fehmarn, the contest on Sylt counts toward the DWFV annual standings as a ranking event. Hubert Christahl won here, ahead of his brother Wilhelm (both U17).
The top U19 rider was Benedikt Hiss, who finished in third place. Theo Buchwald won the separate contest for U15 freestylers.
